The world is my library

The one short story that caught my eye was Regret by Kate Chopin. I chose this short story because the word regret was what caught my attention. Before I read part of the story I thought to myself” maybe this story is all about how someone didn’t something and now they regret it” but the story isn’t really about that. It’s really about the depth of a women’s emotional complexity

Down the Rabbit Hole

One thing I learned from the John Steinbeck article was that “ he suggests that our human foibles don’t negate our goodness or our desire for betterment but, rather, provide both the fuel for it and the yardstick by which we measure our moral progress.” The link that I chose is  https://www.brainpickings.org/2016/03/18/john-steinbeck-george-albee-friend-breakup-letter/ . I chose this link because the title is “ the difficult art of a friend breakup”. I not only chose it because of that but because I know what it feels like to lose a close friend and it’s hard once they leave your Side especially if you were really close to them

Naturalism- a style and theory of representation based on the accurate depiction of detail Realism- the attitude or practice of accepting a situation as it is and being prepared to deal with it accordingly Modernism- modern character or quality of thought, expression or technique

MLK Video reflection

In the video that i saw about Martin Luther, I believe the way he was speaking was pursuasive and the way he made is points was great. I also believe that no one could compare to him because not only was he against racism he was also again economic inequality.
